Once again, Serena turned out to be too big of a challenge for Vika. Serena defeated Vika
in one of the best matches of the tournment, 46 76 62. Vika started strong and was out-playing
the world number 1 to go up a set and 4-0, before Serena found an extra gear and started hitting
winners from everywhere.

Vika reached the QF of a Grand Slam for the 3rd time in her career by beating Zvonareva for
the first time in her career - even ending the match with a bagel. In all of their encounters
Antonio Van Grichen has been on the losing end while Sam Sumyk has been coaching the winner. In the
quarter-final Vika will take on Serena Williams who defeated Vika the last time they faced each other
in a Grand Slam quarter-final.

Vika didn't waste much time in her 62 60 win in the 3rd round of the Australian Open.
Garbin didn't have any chance against a focused Azarenka who made 21 winners to Garbin's 6 and
only 14 unforced errors to Garbin's 21. Next round will be more of a test as Zvonareva will be the
opponent.

Vika didn't play as dominating as she could as she needed almost an hour to close the first set 64.
However, she stepped it up and served a bagel for the second time in this tournament to beat Voegele
and advance to the 3rd round.

Good Start For Vika In Australian Open

Vika won her first two-set match of 2010 by defeating Cohen-Aloro 62 60 in 63 minutes in the
first round of the Australian Open. Vika made 23 winners and only 13 winners and was dominating
the match from the first point. Vika looked determined and concentrated throughout the match.
